The Fairy
Chimney Inn is
run by the Kapadokya Akademi Ltd as a little unique traditional based cave-hotel within the
lunar like landscape which is a UNESCO world heritage site of Goreme-Cappadocia since 1985. Our guesthouse has about ten
rooms for guests mainly from English speaking countries, but also from Germany,
Turkey, Italy, Holland, France and others.
The
Kapadokya Akademi Ltd offers free stay and accommodation to anyone, who is
interested in staying with us in this extraordinary area and learning about
different processes of running a little B&B hotel in a more informal and oriental way. We
require assistance for about 3-4 hours a day and sometimes also during the
evening.
Responsibilities:
Guesthouse:
- help
with the preparation of breakfast and dinner service as well as breakfast clean up
(feeding dishwasher etc)
- support with general guest service
- help
with the laundry and preparing the rooms
- answering
incoming telephone calls and checking reservations on occasion as agreed with other staff
- keeping
updated on our computer-based Apple iCal reservation system
- supervise
hotel-activities in the house during temporary absence of other staff
- input
of positive energy
Academy (voluntarily):
- work
out of a little free project chosen by the volunteer
Educational
Requirements: basic education in the field of tourism, anthropology,
intercultural relationship etc. or just personal enthusiasm.
Skills
- requires
an understanding of cooperation and tolerance to be able to work together with
other people from different cultures and countries.
- candidate
should feel self responsible for the to-be-done work, be trustfully and of
general friendly and good minded character.
- if
next to English, German or Turkish is spoken, the better
- general
knowledge of MS-Office, and email programs
